Passengers in the UK face yet another day of chaos at the airports as further heavy snow is predicted in the South West, Midlands, and parts of the South East.

Heavy snow storms have already been reported throughout the South West, with Exeter particularly suffering problems. The snow looks to be spreading East up the M4 corridor towards the North of London.

Inside the São Paulo/Guarulhos International A...

You may have experienced this in the past, or possibly will do in the future. You are on the final approach to your destination, the landing gear is down, and you are looking forward to getting some fresh air. Suddenly, the landing gear is retracted, and you shoot back up into the sky.

A flight attendant will say something along the lines of the following over the PA system;

Ladies & gentlemen, for operational reasons the captain has decided to climb back up rather than continue with the landing. This is a completely normal procedure, and the pilots will give you more information shortly. Please stay in your seats with your seatbelts fastened.

Fear of Flying: Turbulence

Many nervous flyers will be scared of turbulence. But, truth be told, turbulence is nothing to worry about. In fact, turbulence is a mere annoyance to us flight attendants as it always seems to start when we are trying to drink coffee or fill out paperwork!
